Warriors Path

Warriors Path Combat Fitness is a program designed to help fitness enthusiast and martial artist maintain a high level of physical ability. It was designed inside the martial arts school by Sifu Alan Baker and is heavily influence by the many martial arts systems he has studied throughout his life. Warriors Path is divided up into different areas of study. The different areas are, Warriors Motion, Warriors Strength, Warriors Breath, and Warriors Diet.

Warriors Motion is a joint health and mobility program design to help maintain range of motion and mobility in the athletes or students joints as they age. It is divided into three areas, the first area is loosening exercises. The second area is joint expansion/joint opening exercises. The third area is what is commonly called stretching, Warriors Path generally looks at this third area as more of an ability to relax the body instead of actually stretching an area.

Warriors Strength is a strength development program designed to develop functional and usable Strength. It is divided into two areas, the first area is the study of kettlebell training. The second area is the study of body weight exercises and weightless movement drills that used common movements from various forms of body weight training.

Warriors Breath is a Qigong program. Because of Coach Alan's background in the martial arts and his access to various different Qigong instructors, he brought all the information together in one program. There are two areas of study in a Warriors breath program. The first area of study is designed for general health of the practitioner. The second area of study is a more martial based form of Qigong, designed to help better the performance of the combat athlete.

All of the programs were developed inside the martial arts school and are designed to be taught in a class setting. Most martial art schools only offer various forms of self-defense at their location. Warriors Path can broaden the programs that are available at a given martial arts school. You not only can offer the martial art you teach but you can also make available various types of physical fitness, Qigong, and joint opening classes that offer the opportunity to specifically focus on these areas.
